Service Learning SDG’s Quality Education
Investigation : First, let's talk about what quality education is. This is one of the SDG'S goals, today I distributed a questionnaire to several elementary school students. There are several questions about how online school influences their learning achievement.
As we know it, As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, there are many impacts that are felt by all levels of society, from the upper to the middle class. Likewise with the world of education, the world of education is very important for everyone. So the government is dealing with online learning. Through virtual or online learning, learning is not limited by space and time. The interaction between teachers and students takes place anytime and anywhere.
This policy makes teaching and learning activities in the face-to-face context temporarily suspended. However, so many students find it difficult in the learning process, they even consider learning boring, assignments piling up and the material given by the teacher does not understand. Thus reducing student learning outcomes.
Preparation : For that, I help the teaching and learning process of students in the surrounding environment, as well as meeting learning needs that are not given at school, such as formula books. by preparing some materials to be taught , books that will be lent as a complement to students , and determine a schedule to start learning activities outside school hours.
Action : according to the agreed schedule, in the afternoon, I started doing face-to-face learning activities at home while still adhering to health protocols. Learning activities begin by explaining material that has not been understood.
As a measuring tool whether they have understood the material that has been explained, they will work on several questions. After that I help them do the assignments given by the school. This learning activity takes about 1 hour and a half with 20 minutes of rest. Before ending the activity, I lent some complementary books for them to study. Demonstration : By publishing this blog, it is hoped that it can motivate both students and teachers to carry out learning activities well so as to help students improve learning outcomes. Because by getting an education at a school, your horizons will be broadened, your mind will be open, and the knowledge gained will increase.
